“Is there really someone else who LOVES history anymore?” was what Alexandra thought. Enter Joey. A mutual love for history and the Lord is what brought these guys closer.
THE PLAN: She was teaching and was planning on travelled home to Windsor for March Break, and Joey was going to propose when she got back!
CORONA: Everything shut down and they didn’t see each other for 3 months and when they finally did, they went ALL OUT. Joey planned a trip to Montreal where their itinerary included exploring a waterfall, a picnic by a church on the river, and hiked up a prayer path monks had made Le Sommet in Oka National Park.
THE PROPOSAL: He proposed at the top of the hike. Just like that, BOOM FIANCEE. They were also able to take in the sunset at St. Joseph’s Oratory, and ended the evening off with a song he played and wrote for her
TODAY: We explored the John R. Park Homestead in Essex, Ontario. Not only is this one of Alexandra’s favourite places, she use to work here during the summers! It transforms into a Pioneer village; complete with basket weaving and candle making!
